Rocio’s teaching background covers a wide range of settings, including professional and community environments, and involves working with both young people and adults. Her aim is to create a fun and safe environment where people leave feeling confident about themselves, and develop a sense of community within the group.

Yearly, she teaches intensive workshops in Bahia Blanca (Argentina) in Maroma Studio, El Espejo Cultural Centre, and Escuela de danza Albalutecia, aimed at professionals and advanced students.

In Ireland, she has been invited to teach the weekly +50 class at Dance Theatre of Ireland, intensive workshops and professional classes at Dance Limerick, and warm up classes as part of Rising Voices Program in county Tipperary, Ireland. She has also shared her intensive workshop at Dance Base, Scotland.

Rocio has also been a mentor for the Emerging Voices Program of Dublin Youth Dance Company (https://www.dublinyouthdance.com/emergingvoices), and artistic director and contemporary dance teacher for primary school and teenage students, during Ages in Stages (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NikpdfvVe0s).

Her workshops focus on acquiring tools of improvisation and composition to find possibilities of creating a community within the group, at the same time that give space to one’s individual and authentic body language, through games and guided explorations. The work is based on focus, openness, awareness of body and space, as well as what distance and collaboration mean to the group. The aim is to boost the participants’ creative power and capacity to relate to what surrounds them and connects them as a group. The same focus is held for beginners and professional classes and for all ages, varying the material and difficulty in accordance to the group.

Her professional classes enact a fun and safe space. She starts by sharing games to focus on the here and now, release stress, and enhance trust and confidence. She follows the class with a strong focus on floorwork techniques and spatial awareness, to finalize with a group cool down.
